Deregistration Information

by Karen Powell
(Hobart Tasmania Australia)

Is there a register of persons that have applied for aircraft deregistration?

ANSWER: That is a good question. I tried to find information about this and came up empty handed. There may be a database with such information at the FAA Registry in Oklahoma City, but it doesn't seem to be readily available to the public.

You can ask them directly at:

Aircraft Registration Information and Assistance

Tel: 1 (866) 762-9434, or

Fax: 1(405) 954-3548, (405) 954-8068

There hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Central Time
